How does one get Decklink functionality in MistServer

Happy new year everyone!

We've had Decklink functionality available in certain builds of MistServer for quite some time. Direct Decklink Input and Output is something we've created for one of our enterprise customers. Overal we're very happy with the feature, however we are somewhat restricted in our ability to share it.

Decklink capability has been build in partnership with the ESL FACEIT Group. We're super excited in assisting them in their great work that they've done for E-sports and streaming. However as it's become a key part of their infrastructure they are also reluctant in releasing it for full open source usage, which we fully understand.

We're currently discussing how and when we can allow others access to DeckLink functionality and ask for your patience. We expect we should have good guidance on how you can request access and who qualify for access in early February.

Install MistServer on Linux, including service unit.

Open http://localhost:4242 to configure your node, start streaming, and run clustering or load-testing tooling as needed.
