Broadest input support you can find
MistServer comes with the broadest input support you can find anywhere. From old and proven formats all the way to modern broadcasting standards. This means that you'll never encounter a stream or file you cannot immediately use. Gone are the days where you have to check whether you can accommodate the formats of your contributors, takers or partners. MistServer even generalizes live stream ingests meaning you need only one setup and can provide several live streaming ingest points to your users with next to nothing wait time.
True media gateway
Anything that is within the MistServer ecosystem can be converted to your desired output. Whether that means going from modern IP signals like WebRTC to broadcast signals like SDI or NDI or back. Media within MistServer can be changed to fit any format you want at ultra low latency. Of course, some media inherently isn't compatible and changes would then need to be made, MistServer is capable of warning you the media would not match the output and allow you to hook up transcoding software to adapt the media to your needs. No matter the input or output requested you can ensure the same quality reaches your users and create a highly efficient one-fits-all solution!
Highly advanced metrics and control
Almost any possible metric is available within MistServer and with it a control point that you can use to change the flow of the server. Whether you just want to log the data to have an accurate measure of how your streams are performing or want pin-point control of who can access what we have got you covered. Through our highly compatible Prometheus or JSON outputs you can request any of the current statistics, dive deeper into a per connection status and make adjustments should you deem these necessary.
