Advanced metrics for your streams, viewers and servers

MistServer keeps advanced metrics for your server, streams and viewers. You can access these statistics accurately within a 10 minute time-frame through various API calls. However these are meant to be used by automation and decision making applications or scripts. For a full-featured standardized analytics we recommend the prometheus compatible metrics. These allow the same accuracy, but come with a much larger retention time. Providing you with byte and second accurate statistics for the years to come.

Set up alerts around your most valuable metrics

Don't just measure everything going on within your server, use your most valuable metrics to set up meaningful warnings and logging to make sure events are handled properly. Such as when to spin up additional servers, when to spin down additional servers or keep a close watch on critical infrastructure workflows.

Live analysis or build powerful automated testing

MistServer allows you to take any stream input or output and analyse it with provided analysers. They're a powerful tool for any automated testing system that you wish to create to ensure validity of streams/encoders used. However they can also be used on any stream within MistServer to highlight any potential problems and allow you to make adjustments. Any analyser will show how the stream would be ingested by MistServer and allows you to easily know what to adjust for should you want the media to be ingested differently.

Complete control of your media pipeline

While the MistServer defaults should cover almost everyone you can take control of the entire pipeline through our highly advanced Trigger/Webhooks system. You can make your own adjustments to every step media goes through and even change the messaging itself for most protocols.
